Congratulations to our final award recipients, and to all of our junior players who have been recognised throughout the season. We’ve loved celebrating your efforts, teamwork and achievements each week! 👏

What an awesome season for our 8&U and 10&U Rovers juniors. We hope you’ve all had loads of fun, made some great memories and learnt lots of new skills.

A huge thank you to all the parents, families and friends who turned up each week to cheer, encourage and support our your Rovers players.

We’ve loved watching our youngest Rovers players grow in confidence, develop their skills and enjoy being on court with their teammates.

Next up for our Volunteer Appreciation Round, we’re celebrating two wonderful Rovers volunteers – Chloe Southam and Andrea Glover! 🙌🏐
Both Chloe and Andrea have given so much of their time to netball over the years, not only within Rovers but across our wider netball community.

🌟 CHLOE SOUTHAM
Chloe currently plays Div 1 Reserve for Rovers and coaches the 17&U Rovers Rampage – but her coaching journey started long before that!
Chloe began coaching at club level when she was just 15 years old and has since gone on to coach with the ASNA Academy, at NT Link and at Nationals. What an incredible pathway and contribution to developing our players! 👏
When asked to describe Rovers in three words, Chloe kept it simple… 😂
❤️ “The best one!” 🥳
Some of Chloe’s favourite memories include winning her 2025 Grand Final and receiving the Best on Court medal, along with all the special Grand Final wins she has shared with her 17s teams over the years. 🏆

Chloe is a wonderful example of just how much our volunteers give – coaching, umpiring, mentoring, serving on committees and doing countless jobs behind the scenes.

Thank you Chloe for the years of time, energy and commitment you have given to Rovers and to netball in Alice Springs. Our clubs and competition are stronger because of volunteers like you! ❤️🤍🏐👏

A huge thank you to all our players, parents, families and friends who came along to celebrate and who have supported our juniors throughout the 2026 season.

It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the afternoon together and celebrating another fantastic year of junior netball at Rovers.

And we’re not quite finished yet! With just one more game before the end of the minor round, make sure you get down to the courts this weekend and cheer on our amazing Rovers players! Good luck to all our teams for the final round!

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION WEEK – MEET JOSIE!

We’re kicking off our Volunteer Shoutouts with someone who has been part of the Alice Springs Netball Community since the very beginning — Meet Josie Blakely! 👏

Josie is a proud Rovers Member, but in true volunteer spirit, she’s always happy to lend a hand to other Clubs whenever needed.

⭐ How long have you been involved in Netball?
Over 50 years! Since the start, and believe us, she’s done just about everything along the way — playing, coaching and umpiring!

🏐 Favourite Netball memory?
Umpiring the very first Grand Final at the Youth Centre courts! What an incredible piece of Alice Springs Netball history to have been part of.
More than 50 years of giving back to our sport and community is something pretty special. Volunteers like Josie are the reason our competition has such a strong history and continues to thrive today.

If you could explain your Club in three words what would be it?

“Simply the best” 🥹
