Last start before the truck leaves for Chariots of Thunder. The 410 is roaring, and she's saying she's ready.
One step closer. Let's go.
Jet Thompson Motorsport
410 Sprintcar Team based out of Alice Springs NT
The final countdown is on for Chariots of Thunder 2026.
T-Minus 1 week until the Jetcor Yamaha Honda Harley-Davidson truck leaves Alice and the pressure is on. We're racing to finish the tiny tasks, find the 10mm socket we dropped, and secure the critical cargo.
We are stoked to be rolling into Chariots with a bigger (and slightly louder) crew this time around:
Driver - Jet Thompson
Crew Chief - Garth Thompson
Setup Wizard - Harley Bishop
Crew - Katie Thompson & Steph Willis
Our team is fueled by adrenaline, stubbornness, and whatever snacks we bought last minute.
3000km. One truck. One Raptor. Stay tuned for the highlights, the laughs, and the journey.

Thirty two cars. Eight regions. Three nights. One crown.
Nominations are locked in for the 2026 All Star Welding Chariots of Thunder at Wise Group Northline Speedway, the meeting the whole sprintcar season builds toward. Three nights on Darwin dirt, one name on the trophy, and a field deep enough that nobody is calling it early.
Reigning champion Luke Storer, current Australian champion Jock Goodyer, Matt Egel in his new outfit, Brock Hallett and Lachlan McHugh, just to name a few. Storer did it the hard way last year, never winning a single night and still taking the crown on consistency across the three. Goodyer is the man who keeps winning the nights that matter. Egel and Hallett have both parked it in Darwin's victory lane before. Don't count out Max Guilford either, the lone Kiwi coming across the Tasman for a crack at the crown.
Standing in their way are eleven of the Top End's finest, flying the Territory flag on home dirt they know better than anyone flying in.
The full field:
Northern Territory: Zack Grimshaw, Lachlan Cole, Jet Thompson, Christopher Harrison, Angus Campbell, Will Prest, Zeth King, Ray Walliss, Hayden Brown, Cori Jackson and Scott Kernahan.
Queensland: Lachlan McHugh, Kye Jensen, Dylan Menz, Brock Hallett, Karl Hoffmans and James Mathews.
Victoria: Steven Loader, Aston Rodriguez and Daniel Scott.
Western Australia: Jason Pryde, Jake Pobjoy and Jye Mckenzie.
South Australia: Matt Egel, Luke Storer and Ryan Jones.
Tasmania: Tony Clasener and Jock Goodyer.
New South Wales: Michael Saller and Brett Hobson.
New Zealand: Max Guilford.
Three nights, one crown, and only one name that leaves Darwin with it.
September 10 to 12, Wise Group Northline Speedway. 13 days to go. Kids under twelve free. Book your tickets at northlinespeedway.com.au

Let's talk about the logistics of racing - the late nights. The trailer rebuilds. The "she'll be right" moments that definitely weren't right. But when you're hauling a spare car to the track, your gear has to be as close to bulletproof as possible.
So when it came time to rebuild the racing trailer and refit the buggy, we didn't hesitate. We called Steely Sales. Scott and the team have supplied the steel that keeps our team on the road for years—and they've backed Sprintcar racing at Arunga Park Speedway, our home track, every step of the way.
That's what sets them apart. They're not just a supplier. They're race fans. Community-minded. Committed to keeping grassroots motorsport alive.
When you see their name on the Sprinter, know it's earned. It's trust, quality, and years of showing up.
Thanks for keeping us rolling, Steely Sales.

Jet has been behind the wheel of a go-kart since the tender age of seven, and that foundation continues to drive his development as a racer. Karts still play a big part in Jets racing, and night racing is even better to simulate the speedway track!
Consistent track time is essential for refining race craft. Every lap here allows Jet to fine-tune his braking points, optimize his racing lines, and build the control needed to perform at the highest level. The more seat time, the sharper the driver.
Back to work.

THE REVEAL. THE BUILD. THE BEAST.
The Race Buggy, Completely transformed. The Honda SXS520 supplied by Jetcor Yamaha Honda Harley-Davidson didn't just get an upgrade. It's reached its true potential!
After endless hours in the workshop, countless late nights, and more caffeine than Jet cares to admit… here it is.
None of this would've been possible without
Chambers Engineering.
Andrew and Rachelle Clark didn't just hand us a logo and wish us luck—they handed us the keys to their workshop...... And lucky for the JTM team, Jet's a qualified boilermaker.
Andrew and Rachelle Clark know motorsport isn't a hobby—it's a heartbeat. They understand the 2am finishes, the busted knuckles, the moments where you question why you do this…
Blood. Sweat. Tears. Countless hours. One incredible machine.

Racing - It’s all about the details.
JTM's Crew Chief - GT - is making the most of the Northern Territory's Picnic Day holiday today - he's in the shed checking the cylinder heads and swapping out the head gasket on the 410 Sprintcar engine.
This is the exact predator Jet will be strapped into for the Chariots of Thunder at Darwin in September.
No shortcuts.
Just pure preparation.
