Sharing another First Nations account you should follow and celebrate 🤍🫶🏽
Hayden Sines is a proud Q***r Dunghutti artist creating under the name The Deadly Dunghutti. Born and raised on Bundjalung Country with his mob from Kempsey in NSW. He now creates on Wurundjeri Country in Naarm. Working primarily in bold acrylics, Hayden explores identity, culture, and connection through vibrant colour.
This piece represents the unbreakable bond between brothers and sisters. No matter the distance, time, or circumstances, that connection remains within us. It is something we carry every day. A source of strength, love, and resilience that helps us face life’s challenges. Through every hardship and every moment of joy, this bond reminds us where we come from and that we are never truly alone. Though life may take us in different directions, the connection we share will always go on.

Sharing another First Nations account you should follow ✨
is the beautiful creative practice of Caitlyn Davies-Plummer, a proud Barkindji woman and artist based on Kaurna Country (Adelaide).
This commissioned artwork tells the story of a family across time, capturing meaningful milestones, special celebrations, achievements and the life they’ve built together so far.
Throughout the piece you’ll find their favourite flowers, native shrubs, rocks, seeds and water elements, reflecting the family’s deep connection to both the beach and the bush. Every detail has been thoughtfully woven together to honour their story in a truly beautiful way.

Sharing more First Nations accounts I think you should be following 🖤
This time: .radio
Founded in 1980, CAAMA was the first licensed Aboriginal radio station in the country. More than 40 years later, they’re still amplifying Aboriginal voices, languages and stories from Central Australia.
I was lucky enough to be interviewed by some of their incredible students last year when I was at Uluṟu for the handback. Watching young Mob learn, interview people and share stories was something really special.
I truly believe we need to support platforms like this. Stories from Country deserve to be told by the people who belong to that Country. 🖤💛❤️

In honour of NAIDOC Week, I wanted to share this incredible piece created by the beautiful Shanai who is also my favourite cousin 🤪 from
Every brushstroke tells a story. Every piece carries culture, connection, and generations of knowledge. Supporting and celebrating First Nations artists is one meaningful way we can honour the oldest continuing cultures in the world not just this week, but every day.
Thank you my cuzzy Shanai, for creating art that speaks so deeply and so powerfully. ❤️🖤💛
THE MEANING BEHIND SYMBOLS OF STRENGTH

And one more thing… please don’t jump into my DMs asking me for a list of books, podcasts or resources on our culture.
There are so many incredible First Nations creators, educators and organisations who have already put together these resources. Have a Google, do some digging, and take ownership of your learning otherwise I’ll start sending my pay pal 🤪💸
Allyship also means doing the work yourself. 🤎
