Congratulations to Lincoln Garrad, our 2025/2026 Cricketer of the Year, who represented Queensland at the 2026 Australian Indoor Cricket National Championship held at Casey Stadium in Cranbourne, Victoria, from 5 to 11 July 2026.

Lincoln enjoyed an outstanding tournament and was one of two Queensland players selected to represent Australia at the WICF Junior World Series, to be held at the Atterbury U-Pro Action Sports Arena in Pretoria, South Africa, from 26 September to 3 October 2026.

Hello Hawks
The club is now taking registrations for the 2026/2027 Summer Cricket season. Albany Creek will be nominating teams in the Brisbane North Junior Cricket Association’s Saturday competitions for 9-17 year olds (U10 to Opens). Also, we will be running a Friday Night cricket program for 6-8 years olds (U8 & U9).

The club enforces the age limits for each age group in accordance with the Brisbane North Junior Cricket Association’s rules and guidelines.

Registration Fees are:

Full Season (Oct 26 to Mar 27) $262.75
Half-Season (Pre Xmas Oct to Dec 26) $205.00
Half-Season (Post Xmas Jan to Mar 27) $194.50
* All players will be receiving a new playing shirt this season.

Format Change for U11s:
The U11 format has been changed to better prepare our players for the longer game formats they will be playing in the future. The format will be very similar to the current U12 Junior format except it will be 25 overs each side (not 30). They will still be all one day games but will need to played in the afternoon to allow for the longer games. Games will commence at 1:30pm and finish approximately 4:45pm (if all 50 overs are played). Teams can have a maximum of 11 players with 9 players on the field - Out is Out - 8 wickets constitutes 'All Out'.
Under 16 Age Group Reintroduced:
Age restrictions introduced last summer for the Opens age group still apply. To be eligible for an Opens team, players MUST be at least 15 AND younger than 18 as at 1st September 2024. Any players who played in an U15 team last season and who are not 15 as at 1st September can play in the new U16 age group.

Important Note: The club offers a 20% Family Discount for those families with multiple children registering to Albany Creek. This discount will be automatically applied if the family members are all registering to the Junior Club Cricket competition (U10 to Open) but if the players are split between Junior Club Cricket and the Friday Night program, a voucher code will need to be applied. If you have children playing in both the Friday Night program and the Saturday Cricket competitions (U10 to Opens), please contact the club administrator to receive a ‘Voucher’ code that can be entered in the payment details page to reduce the club registration component of the fees.

Albany Creek Cricket Club is subject to Queensland’s Reportable Conduct Scheme. This means any concerns about child abuse or harm caused by a worker or volunteer will be investigated and reported to the Queensland Family and Child Commission, as the law requires. The club is in the process of updating our Policies and Procedures and will publish them on the web as soon as they're complete.
