I’m in the bike industry. I have access to whatever bike I want to roll around on. Which is why people are surprised to see what I ride when I’m commuting to work or heading out to the shops. Let’s talk electric pumps. In the last few weeks I’ve had multiple people ask me about them, telling me they bought one off AliExpress or Temu and the price was great but it didn’t last very long… and on the side of the road with a flat tyre is not when you want to learn that lesson. How long does your bike equipment last? Three years for a helmet? Up to 5,000 kilometres for some tyres? Or even 10,000km for a chain? Ultimately it’s up to you how long it lasts. When it’s time to move on, move on but we’re big believers in getting good value for money - so the better you look after your gear, the better your gear looks after you.
