In Term 4, Forest School SA is launching our new Helping Hands initiative.

Throughout the term, our primary group will take part in special Helping Hands Days, using their time, energy and growing practical skills to contribute to our local community.

We are inviting residents, community groups and not-for-profit organisations across the Adelaide Hills to nominate projects our children may be able to help with.

This could include planting a community garden, restoring an outdoor space, helping an animal rescue, creating wildlife habitat, packing donations, preparing care packages or lending a hand with another safe and meaningful community project.

We want our children to experience the pride that comes from being genuinely useful and to understand that even the smallest hands can make a valuable contribution.

Projects must be safe, suitable for children aged 5 to 12, achievable within our program and of genuine community benefit. We will review all nominations and contact the projects that are the best fit for our group.
