So important to remember that the day you have today may be your last. Not in a morbid kind of way but in a way that says make the most of it. Let go of anger quickly today let go of disappointment, let go of missed expectations, let go of stuff that doesn’t add value to your day or the day others. Just get out there and enjoy today for all it has to offer .

Sunrise and sunset are pretty special parts of our day. They really defined the time through which we can leave our life the most. As a species we are diurnal not nocturnal and therefore we need to be making the most of the sunlight hours. Get up early make the most of your day and if you’re up enjoying the sunrise already well done to you. .

After 36 years serving Australia and the UK in the military, this legend left. 36 years is a long time in any job these days. When you leave, nothing prepares you for the feeling of isolation.

Military life, like many worlds, is about discipline, systems and process. When you leave, you're on your own. No systems. No enforced discipline. Just you and so many options.

Then you're referred to Wellteam. A place to re-balance with the discipline of daily habits, purpose and connection. Before you know it, you're leading a team of Wellteamers from across the globe. This time, it's not a job, it's 100% on you.

And... life still has it's wicked way with you. Years of pushing his body to the edge takes its toll - knees in particular.

We don't see this stuff typically. We hear of lives being lost in the military, but we rarely see the physical and mental toll from one of the toughest gigs on the planet.

When I think of the value we've created in Wellteam this is where my mind goes.

On Monday, still groggy from the anaesthetic Darren Wilcock joined our weekly zoom check in. Yesterday he posts this image to our Wellteam chat group.

Darren, thank you for your 36 years of service and I acknowledge the price that you're paying for that now. You're a legend mate.
