What's On at DOSC | 29 June

Sailors Route kicks off this Saturday, DF95 racing is still happening every Thursday & Sunday (all welcome!), and our great unlimited breakfast offer is still available Monday to Thursday!

Joe from Quizbiz is also back next Tuesday for the Offshore Quiz - speedquizzing, music bingo, and fantastic prizes on offer!

Our new unlimited breakfast offer is available from today! Have as many plates as you want: as long as you finish the previous one 🍽 AED 55 per person, available 8am-11am Mon-Thurs

It's the last week of the football group stages, so make sure to cheer your country on - we'll be showing all the games that are in our normal operating hours

Racing is also still going strong with the regular Wednesday Evening Pursuit Race, 'Stuckey' Saturday Summer Series, and the DF95 fleet on the water twice a week

Congratulations to all of the candidates who successfully completed their RYA Instructor courses at DOSC this month! 👏⛵

Over the past two weeks, we’ve hosted a series of instructor courses aimed at developing the next generation of sailing instructors. Alongside upskilling our own Assistant Instructors and Dinghy Instructors, the courses also supported the continued growth of sail training across the GCC and beyond, with candidates joining us from a variety of countries including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Pakistan and Kenya.

We’re delighted to celebrate the qualification of:

⛵ 4 new RYA Dinghy Instructors
🚤 5 new RYA Powerboat Instructors
🧭 4 new RYA Senior Instructors

These qualifications represent a significant commitment to developing skills, knowledge, and confidence both on and off the water, and we’re proud to have played a part in their journey.

A huge thank you to Mike Hart, Alex Cockshott, Nic Wymer, and Sally Hart for their expertise and guidance throughout the courses, and congratulations once again to all of our newly qualified instructors. We look forward to seeing the positive impact you’ll have on sailing and powerboating communities across the region and beyond.

A day in the life of the DOSC Paws crew 🐾🐈

From finding the perfect sunny spot for a nap to supervising sailors, diners and staff, our feline residents certainly know how to keep busy around the club. As well as being much-loved members of the DOSC community, they also play an important role in naturally helping to keep rodents away from the site.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported the DOSC Paws programme so far. Thanks to your contributions, we’re working to ensure every cat on site is neutered and vaccinated, helping to create a healthier, safer environment for our furry residents.

We’re also fortunate to have veterinary partners supporting the programme, helping to reduce the cost of essential treatments and care. Even with this generous support, there are still ongoing veterinary expenses that need to be covered to keep the programme running successfully.

If you’d like to contribute towards these costs, your support will help us continue providing the care our feline residents deserve. There’s a box for DOSC Paws in reception, pawsome DOSC Paws merch in the shop, or order one of the DOSC Paws items on the menu - they all support the program!
