Arsenal are set to sign Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimarães in a deal worth up to £80m.

The Gunners will pay £70m up front, with a further £10m in performance-related add-ons.

The Brazil international is expected to sign a long-term contract this weekend.

Leandro Trossard has joined Turkish Süper Lig side Beşiktaş on a permanent transfer.

Leo joined us from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023 and made 174 appearances in all competitions for us, scoring 36 goals and assisting 34 times.

The 31-year-old started his professional career at Genk, where he joined as part of their academy in 2010 before progressing into the first-team squad. Leo enjoyed a successful spell in his country of birth, making a total of 120 appearances for Genk, as well as enjoying valuable loan spells with Lommel United, Westerlo and OH Leuven.

In June 2019, Leo joined Brighton & Hove Albion, where he quickly established himself as a key member of the Seagulls' squad. During his time on the south coast, the forward made 121 appearances, scoring 25 goals and providing 15 assists before making the move to north London.

The Belgium international’s first full season for us started with silverware, when he scored a stoppage-equaliser against Manchester City in the 2023 Community Shield, leading to our 4-1 win on penalties at Wembley Stadium. Leo produced several memorable moments in his three years with us, none more significant than the decisive winner in our 1-0 victory away to West Ham United, a result that proved pivotal in our historic 2025/26 Premier League title triumph.

On the international stage, Leo has also been a key figure for Belgium, earning 57 senior caps and scoring 14 goals, and playing an important role for his national team including featuring in four major competitions.
