Jebel Ali Mammoths held their nerve to defeat Shindagha Mammoths by 3 wickets in a thrilling contest and lift the title 👑

Batting first, Shindagha Mammoths posted 162/6 (25 overs) with Captain Sujit Salian (54) leading from the front. He was well supported by Lucky Abbas (25), Manal Siddiqui (22) and Mohammed Niaz (23*) 💪

In reply, Jebel Ali Mammoths chased down the target in 23.4 overs. After a steady start from Sethuraman Ramakrishnan (32), it was Alan Ninan Thomas (48)* who played a match-winning knock under pressure 🔥

Shindagha bowlers fought hard, especially Mohammed Niaz (3/13), but Jebel Ali Mammoths stayed composed to seal the victory 👏

Jebel Ali Mammoths Clinch Maiden League of Mammoths Title with Dominant Win!
The 26th edition of the League of Mammoths culminated in a thrilling grand finale, where Jebel Ali Mammoths scripted history by securing their first-ever championship with a commanding 86-run victory over Shindhga Mammoths.

Jebel Ali Mammoths Set a Strong Foundation
Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Jebel Ali Mammoths posted an imposing 227/8 in 25 overs. The innings was anchored by a magnificent century from Karthik Subramanian showcasing class and resilience. He was well-supported by Ctk Mashood and Aditya Kaushik (34 off 33 balls), who played crucial cameos to keep the scoreboard ticking.

Despite some strong bowling efforts from Gurdip Singh Virdi (5/40 in 5 overs), who rattled the middle order with a five-wicket haul, Jebel Ali’s batting depth ensured they put up a challenging total.

Shindhga Mammoths Struggle to Chase
In response, Shindhga Mammoths faltered early, losing their captain Yasser Khawaja for just 1 run. The batting lineup found it difficult to keep pace with the required rate, with only Gurdip Singh Virdi (33 off 24 balls) and Aditya Kaushik (34 off 33 balls) putting up resistance.

Jebel Ali’s bowling attack was relentless, led by Ctk Mashood (2/11 in 3 overs), Omar Siddiqui (2/21 in 4 overs), and Mahesh Padmanabhan (2/32 in 4 overs). Their disciplined effort restricted Shindhga Mammoths to 141/9 in 25 overs, sealing an emphatic 86-run victory.

This victory marks Jebel Ali Mammoths’ first-ever League of Mammoths title, a momentous occasion for the team under the leadership of Mahesh Nambiar. Meanwhile, Shindhga Mammoths continue their wait for a championship under Yasser Khawaja, finishing as runners-up once again.

🔥 Aditya Kaushik (150 off 74) & Sheridan Hadfield (93 off 39) powered Kings to 293/3 (25 overs).
💥 Sheldon D’Cruz (110 off 49) fought back, but Deira Bhai’s fell short at 234 (24 overs).
