A dharamshala is not a hotel. It is the shelter where a pilgrim stops on a long road. That is where we are going.Sharanam — the Sanskrit word for refuge — opens today.
Six nights in the Kangra Valley, beneath the Dhauladhar range, from 29 November to 5 December.
We chose that week deliberately. In early December the mountains are withdrawing. The light shortens, the high peaks take their first snow, and the whole valley turns inward.
Patanjali gave this movement a name — pratyahara, the fifth limb: the senses drawing back from the world the way a tortoise draws in its limbs. It is the hardest limb to teach in a city. In the Himalaya in late autumn you do not have to teach it.
The landscape does the practice with you, and you follow.Seven days of sunrise sadhana, pranayama, deep meditation, yoga nidra. A day among the monasteries of McLeod Ganj.
A walking meditation to Sidh Baba temple. Spring water, a bonfire, sound under a cold sky.
Limited Space. One group, one guide, every session held by me from the first breath to the closing blessing. You will not travel to a place of rest. You will build one, and carry it home.

Most people who practice yoga have never heard of 7 of its 8 limbs.
That’s not a criticism. It’s just the truth about how yoga has been taught in the modern world — stripped down to the postures, repackaged as fitness, and handed back to us as the complete thing.
It isn’t.
Patanjali’s system has 8 limbs. Eight complete dimensions of practice — each one addressing a different layer of who you are.
Yama — how you move through the world.
Niyama — how you live with yourself.
Asana — the body.
Pranayama — the breath.
Pratyahara — pulling your senses inward.
Dharana — the art of focus.
Dhyana — true meditation.
Samadhi — the state beyond all of it.
Most yoga classes teach limb three.
And then wonder why, after years of practice, something still feels incomplete.
This is what our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Dubai is built on. Not just the postures — the entire system. All 8 limbs. Taught the way they were always meant to be taught.

A Path Home, Not Just a Practice
Before yoga was a practice, it was a path home.
This September in Dubai, step onto that path with Lifestyle Yoga's 200-Hour Teacher Training — held with Sumit Manav, a teacher who has walked this road for over 25 years.
This is not about perfecting a pose. It's about reconnecting with breath, stillness, and the parts of yourself that have been waiting to be heard.
Early Bird: Save AED 2000 before seats close.
Send us a message — let's see if this is your moment.
