The former Ryder Cup star held his nerve to win the Italian Challenge Open at Golf Nazionale and continue one of golf’s great comeback stories after rebuilding his game through the MENA Golf Tour pathway.

Another huge week for the Tour also saw Scotland’s Will Porter secure a brilliant tied 4th finish against a stacked field in Italy 🇮🇹🔥

🇫🇷 Pierre Pineau is back in the winner’s circle.

The Frenchman fired a superb final round 67 to win the Hilton Classic at Al Houara Golf Club in Tangier, finishing 10 under par to secure a two-shot victory and end a four-year wait for his second professional title.

Fellow countryman Andoni Etchenique finished second on eight under after a bogey-free 67, while Ireland’s Paul McBride claimed third place at seven under.

Pierre Pineau leads the Hilton Classic by one shot heading into the final round at Al Houara after a gritty two under 70 in brutal conditions.

Italy’s Jacopo Vecchi Fossa fired a stunning 66 in the rain to surge into contention, with Curtis Knipes and Aadam Syed just one back.

Aron Zemmer fired a superb seven-birdie 67 in swirling winds to take the first-round lead at the Hilton Classic at Al Houara Golf Club. Matteo Cristoni sits just one shot back as the Azzurri dominate the early leaderboard, while Ireland’s Alex Maguire produced an eagle and four birdies to stay firmly in contention.
With $100,000 and OWGR points on the line, it’s perfectly poised heading into round two. ⛳️🔥

The MENA Golf Tour confirms that the Ayla Classic and Ayla Championship (9–15 March 2026) at Ayla Golf Club, Aqaba, have been cancelled due to the current regional situation.

Chris Wood produced a nerves-of-steel bunker save on the 18th to clinch his third win of the season at the Al Houara Classic 🏆

The Englishman closed with a superb 67 to finish 10-under, one clear of Pierre Pineau, Mark Power and Joseph Pagdin, before splashing out from the final-hole bunker to four feet and rolling in the winning putt under pressure.
