Two personalities of every tennis player 😂🎾

1. Tennis is a running sport disguised as a hitting sport. Everyone obsesses over racket specs and swing paths.
But if your feet aren’t set, your perfect technique falls apart anyway. Footwork is 80% of the shot.
2. The middle solves almost everything. When a rally gets too fast or you’re completely out of position, don’t try a low-percentage winner. Hit a heavy, deep ball right down the center of the court. It takes away your opponent’s angles and forces them to generate all their own pace.
3. Your strings matter more than your racket. People will drop €250+ on a new frame but leave dead strings in it for a year.
Strings lose tension and elasticity fast. If you want control and spin, you need to re-string regularly, not just when they snap.
4. Forgetting is a skill. You are entirely on your own out there.
There’s no teammate to pass to when you’re having a bad day.
Learning to genuinely forget a terrible error within 3 seconds is harder to master than a kick serve, but it’s what wins matches.

Coaches don’t emphasize enough:

1. Recover before you admire your shot.
The point isn’t won because you hit a good ball. Great players recover to the right position immediately after every shot.

2. Watch your opponent, not just the ball.
The opponent’s body position and racket preparation often tell you where the ball is going before they make contact.

3. Your feet decide the quality of your strokes.
Most players blame their forehand or backhand, but poor footwork is usually the real reason for inconsistent shots.

4. Hit with a purpose, not just power.
Before every shot, know what you’re trying to achieve: move your opponent, create space, attack, or defend. Every ball should have an intention.

5. The best players make fewer bad decisions, not just better shots.
Tennis is a decision-making sport. Choosing the right shot at the right time wins more matches than trying to hit spectacular winners.
